Happy girls are the prettiest girls


I feel...

Today, I woke up, and I felt....thin. Surprised me, that's for sure, because I wasn't expecting that feeling. The scale confirmed my suspicions and gave me a number that I just couldn't believe. Nothing absurd mind you, just less than the last time I stepped on a few days ago.

So I stepped on it 5 different time to make sure it had made up it's mind about my weight. 

While I was getting ready, Billy said "you look skinny", and I shared that I had been sucking in my tummy and staring at my ribs in side view for about 5 minutes before he came in. He laughed at me.

It put a pep in my step and got me moving for my workout. Which was AWESOME by the way! I rode the bike route for my triathlon on cupcake, my fabulous new bike, and it made all the difference. I shaved off about 15 minutes from the last time I rode the route on a mountain bike, and felt great, even when I hit the monster hill at mile 7. Thank goodness my iPod had the good sense to slow down my shuffle list and gave me some great slower tempo songs like: 
Wildfire by the Limousines
Miserabile Visu by Anberlin
Phenomena by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs
 then Empire State of Mind by Jay Z

It was. The. BEST.

When I got home, I fixed Billy breakfast, then of course I documented my feeling thin day with a bathroom mirror photo. 

Because I can't forget the days when I actually feel like all the crazy hard workouts and sticking to my diet while "just saying no" to sugar and white flour is all worth it. Can I get an AMEN?!

And now I am posting it for all of you, because I am not perfect, I am not where I would like to be, and I don't always like myself, but today I felt good, and I am holding on to that feeling. I apologize for the blurry quality, the sweaty state, and my not so cute sports bra and cycling shorts. I still love me though.

Well done you for the weight and for being so positive :-) I have been feeling more positive and feeling like my knee is getting stronger every day and I am working on rehydrating my skin- with drinking water and some lovely Clarins products - and (touch wood) have noticed that this has been getting better and clearer. Both have helped me feel better!! Keep up the hard work...

  7. Lookin' good!!!! You have inspired me to stick to my no sugar and processed food challenge! Yesterday I had a great "body image" day and it was awesome! Sounds like you had a good bike ride and sweet time! Just be careful wearing your ipod when on your bike- I enjoy your blog posts too much for something to happen to ya!! :)
