Yesterday I ran the Daily Vitamin F Halloween Virtual 5k. It was my first time running a virtual race, but I have wanted to do them for awhile, just never found one before it was already over. Thanks to Megan, over at Fit*Crafty*English*Teacher for letting me know about this race!
I dragged Billy along on his bike while I ran. I finished the 5k in 26:25, and then finished off the rest of the 4 mile run. I'm pretty happy with my 8:30/mile average pace. I just checked out my RunKeeper stats, and at one point I got down to a 6:08/mile pace as I "finished strong" at the end of the 5k portion.
I let Marlo get in on my post-race picture, even though she doesn't really run much. Like my festive pumpkin?
I'm really excited about participating in other holiday virtual 5k events!
